Have a 7ft tree, use the mini white lights, a string of multi color, how can I put them on the tree.?

I want to use the multi-colored background, can I chain branches on the back or trunk. that seems the best, I can go anyway as white back to front several, or all white cross that out.

Why do you only want a string of several colors. If your heart is set on a single strand multi color why do not you wrap the wire around the inside "branch of the tree trunk and all the fires of industry white.
