Is it wrong for a 40-year-old married man with no son to make a Pinewood Derby car for a sense of closure?

My dad used to take over and made all my cars when I was a Scout. Will my wife understand?

It is not wrong. It is also not wrong for a 40 year old married man to have a little extra friend packed up in his suitcase when he goes on a business trip.
